An NOA is a document issued by the County which provides specific information, including dimensions, parts, materials, accessories and installation guidelines, about the particular product in question. The NOA certifies whether or not the product has passed the impact-resistant test. This product also sets forth an expiration date until which the approval has been issued for.

The most intensive and stringent proving ground in the United States is the Miami-Dade County hurricane impact test. The Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance (NOA) for impact-resistant products is the best way to be sure that a window or door has been tested appropriately and meets all requirements for hurricane protection in a High Velocity Hurricane Zone.
